Written by SKRT on 01/19/2023

Bay St. Louis, Mississippi offers scenic beach views, beautiful piers, a plethora of restaurants, bars with live music, multiple casinos, RV parks with pools, and a slice of Americana that keeps getting harder to find.

Best of all, this community is golf cart friendly!

The attractions that we cover in this blog are all accessible by golf cart & connect the dots in this beautiful historic town.

In this blog, we will cover 5 of our most beloved things to do in Bay St Louis.

Things to do

Stroll down the Jimmy Rutherford Fishing Pier

Connect with the bay on the longest public pier in Bay St. Louis. Lined with huts and benches for sitting, grazing, and watching the pelicans fish with you. Take in fantastic views of the mystical bay bridge.

According to local fishermen, it's best to come at night for the best chance to reel fish in. This extremely well-maintained pier also has beach access and is just minutes away from the most popular bars and restaurants in Bay St. Louis such as the Blind Tiger and Dan B’s.

Scenic views and free golf cart charging at the Bay St. Louis Municipal Harbor

Dream about what it could be like to live on a sailboat at a harbor where people are doing it for real! You will find yachts, sailboats, tiki party boats, and even a Mark Twain-style stern-wheel paddleboat all living in this beautiful harbor.

At the Bay St. Louis Municipal harbor, you will also find an array of convenient amenities such as clean public bathrooms, security on-site, and best of all, FREE GOLF CART CHARGING! You can find the charging station just behind the office.

Visit the Angel Trees for a slice of BSL History

The story behind the Angel Trees is a story of hope. It begins with that of Hurricane Katrina and the damage that the infamous storm left behind. These angels were once live Oaks that were severely damaged during the storm and left for dead until a chainsaw sculptor by the name of Dayle K. Lewis carved them into angels, wings, and birds.

Gulf Coast locals find inspiration in the Angel Trees because they represent the ability that the community has had to persevere after hard times. Our beloved Bay St. Louis, Mississippi has never been more popular amongst tourists and now has a larger local population than ever before!

Eat like a local at Brooklyn Pizzeria

New Orleans-style food places are a tourist favorite when coming to Bay St. Louis but what if you want to eat like a local at a bit more economical place? Then Brooklyn’s Pizzeria is your spot!

The checkered floors and red booths take you back to a simpler time, going with the slice of Americana theme that Bay St. Louis has to offer.

When you need a break from the 20$ and up fried redfish and oysters in a sit-down restaurant, ride your golf cart to Brooklyn’s where you can enjoy 2 large slices of Pepperoni Pizza and a drink for only 7$.

Take a sunset cruise down to the Silver Slipper

The Silver Slipper not only has a cool name but also offers a chance to take a ride all the way down the bay coastline (about 20 minutes via golf cart) in your golf cart at sunset. The Silver Slipper is a Hotel and Casino resort that offers robust gaming options for you to try your luck, a sportsbook, several bars, an RV park, and of course a buffet with a plethora of seafood options.

For the best bang for your buck, arrive for lunch Monday through Friday between 11 A.M. and 3 P.M. because you will only pay $14.95! An absolute steal, right?! If you happen to arrive for dinner the price goes up to $39.95.

The Silver Slipper is right on the beach so you have a chance to walk out near the water, chill out, and take in the views of the bay from a different vantage point but still be steps away from all the amenities you could ever need.
